Getting out a couple times a week with a group of senior friends is a great way for seniors to feel better about themselves. Seniors have many hobbies that they like to participate in, but for many years, bowling has been one hobby that remains number one. Their self esteem remains high because they can still participate in a sport that they love. Having somewhere to go each week is a way for a senior to have something to look forward to and have purpose.
The senior citizen can benefit greatly by bowling week after week. It is a good way for them to get much needed exercise. As a senior attends their weekly bowling sessions, they remain active and have a social time to stay acquainted with old friends. Because bowling can be played by anyone at any age and at any level of ability, it makes a great hobby for the senior citizen. As long as they can still throw a bowling ball, they can enjoy this type of hobby week after week.
As seniors continue to bowl, they realize that high scores are not as important to them as they used to be. They realize there are changes they need to make with their bowling and they make them. Their ability to bowl is all that matters, along with being with their friends for a day out at the lanes. With no expectations put upon them, they can enjoy their hobby just as much as they always have.
